World Hindi Day ,विश्व हिंदी दिवस is an international day to celebrate the language of Hindi and its cultural significance. It is observed annually on 10th January to commemorate the first ever Hindi conference held in Nagpur in the year 1975. The day was declared by the then Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Hindi is the official language of India and is spoken by more than 550 million people. It is also one of the official languages of the United Nations. The language is also spoken in several other countries such as South Africa, Mauritius, Suriname, Nepal, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana. It is the third most spoken language in the world after Mandarin Chinese and English.
On the occasion of World Hindi Day, let us remember and celebrate the language of Hindi and its rich cultural heritage. It is an opportunity to recognize the importance of Hindi and its many contributions to the global cultural landscape.
